Butterflies
Butterflies is a NGO working with street and working children in Delhi for the last fourteen years. Butterflies believe that children are born as children, neither as destitute nor as delinquents.

It believes in the right of every child to have a full childhood where he/she has the right to protection, respect, opportunities and participation in his/her own growth and development as enshrined in the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child. We believe that children's participation in decision-making is central to understanding their situation and needs, and to respecting children as valued citizens of our society. We believe that all strata of society, all government officials, all political parties should be made aware that India is a signatory to the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child and is required to implement the Convention fully to protect the children of India.

Butterflies ensures that children actively participate in the decision-making process of all its programs. This forms the central principle of all the activities of Butterflies.
